A Smart Approach to Business Process Design Pursuit's approach stems from our experience and leverages business process best practices from the IT, marketing and management consulting industries.
After working with companies across a wide range of industries, we noticed a pattern of specific client business needs. Interestingly, these areas critical to project success are often not articulated or prioritized at the onset of a project, and they continue to be brushed aside as projects progress. Is it because these areas are too obvious? Not sexy? Too cumbersome to address? Probably all three. But in a world where more than 50% of CRM and sales automation implementations don’t live up to expectations, we’ve made it our job to address and apply these critical success factors: - Strategic Business Fit - We begin engagements by helping our clients articulate their business objectives and pinpoint their strategy. In many cases this includes building the business model and case for investment. Next, we define the tasks and deliverables to execute the strategy, and identify the measures of success to track performance over time.
- People, Process, and Technology Design – We help design the process and the critical roles and skills needed to make the business process sustainable. We help leverage existing assets as well as define and select vendors and outsourced services to deliver new capabilities. We attempt to make best use of the existing technology available to a business, by ensuring that it is configured to meet requirements. Where technology falls short, we lead the search and implement the right solution. We provide change management to ensure initial adoption and ongoing optimization of processes.
- Project Communications - We facilitate relationship building between people within and across departments, as well as with their service providers. The goal is to align people in their understanding of objectives, down to tactical details in responsibilities, processes and sources of risk.
Our holistic approach doesn’t mean we sacrifice technical depth. To help our clients deliver on their technology roadmaps, we engage with the best middle-market and enterprise-level providers. We stay abreast of their offerings and maintain best practices in their implementation. We also have technical staff that deliver custom solutions if that’s what’s needed.
