Business Systems Analyst – Jr., Mid, Sr. levels (NJ)

Location: Bridgewater, NJ

Job Description:

The Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering requirements, producing project documentation, project reporting and tracking, and web site content QC and testing for a variety of IS & marketing projects consistent with pre-defined policies and methodology. This documentation includes but is not limited to project charters, user requirements, business process flows, system diagrams, and test scripts. This resource will also be responsible for documenting meetings and producing minutes, and following up on open items. This resource will work closely with other business analysts and will be led by a project supervisor. The resource will have the opportunity to directly participate in business and IS meetings. This is a contractor position with an estimated duration of at least 6 months, with potential for full-time hire after 3 months. On-site presence required at client’s location in Bridgewater, NJ, 5 days per week.

Required Experience:

  • Jr. Level:  1-3 years Experience in business analysis and requirements analysis role.
  • Mid Level: 3-5 years Experience in business analysis and requirements analysis role.
  • Sr. Level: 5+ years Experience in business analysis and requirements analysis role.

Education Requirements:

Minimum Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree preferred in a technical discipline, also preferred, but could be waived for verifiable computer science or technical writing experience.

Writing samples will be required as part of the interview process.

Additional Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • Experience creating requirements documentation and test scripts for IT systems.
  • Must have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Word, Excel, and Visio.
  • Scrupulous attention to detail
Professional Skills:
  • Must work effectively with others in a professional setting.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Must be able to take thorough notes with attribution.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills with an extreme attention to detail.
