Location: Boston, MA Job Description: The Statistical Analyst will collaborate with the Principal, Strategy & Analytics, our Performance Analysts, and the Product Development team to provide our clients with project-based statistical analyses and to develop and maintain an automated decision engine product. This role includes supporting selling statistical analysis, measurement and optimization services to prospects and clients. Pay Description: commensurate with experience Position Background: Pursuit Consulting provides its clients with guidance, methodologies and governance to dramatically improve the performance of their investments in Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service. We apply an agile approach to making rapid improvements to the organization’s staff, processes and enabling technologies. A component of this includes utilizing data to optimize operational effectiveness, sales and marketing return on investment, or customer satisfaction. Pursuit Consulting is also investing in the development of proprietary software tools for internal and client use that will leverage the statistical analyses and models this individual produces. As such, one function of this role is to assist in the design of the automated decision engine to be developed into a standardized product platform. Responsibilities Include: - Understanding the business problem to be solved by working closely with the client and the Pursuit Consulting team
- Providing Data and Product personnel with requirements to develop the data model to conduct the analysis
- Evaluating the available data for quality and completeness to conduct required analyses
- Collaborating with the Lead Solution Architect to establish the data architecture required for the automated decision engine
- Support client presentations of the performance results and optimization recommendations
- Establish the process for optimization preparation, implementation and ongoing maintenance
Position Requirements: - BA or BS in a quantitative area of study, such as Mathematics or Statistics
- Solid business acumen. A thorough understanding of financial and KPI levers executives use to drive the strategy and tactics of their organization
- Understanding and experience with channel-mix or attribution modeling
- Experience collaborating with database analysts and programmers to deliver on analyses
- Experience working in a consulting or agency environment with client stake holders
- Experience in the healthcare industry a plus, including patient and Healthcare Professional analyses
- Strong Excel capability
- Solid experience with statistical tools:
- Experience with any of the following BI tools is a plus, but not essential:
- Xcelsius
- Tableau
- Spotfire
- Business Objects
- Cognos
- Experience creating reporting and Business Intelligence visuals is a plus.
Travel: - Position requires regional travel and occasional national travel
- On-site presence predominantly at Boston location
