Sr. Project Manager (NJ)

Job Description:

The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for multiple work-stream project tracking and project reporting for a major pharmaceutical firm based in NJ. This is a contractor position with an estimated duration of at least 6 months, with potential for full-time hire after 3 months. On-site presence required at client’s location in NJ.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years experience in Project Management and/or Program Management or related discipline.
  • PMI or other project management certification helpful.
  • Understanding of Agile Management methodology, with focus on measurement.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio and other project management tools a must.
  • Background/Expertise in Pharmaceutical marketing strongly desired.
  • Proven experience communicating information both orally and in writing.
  • Skill/Ability to: Effectively interact with diverse teams consisting of technical and non-technical members. Demonstrate flexibility, resourcefulness and scrupulous attention to detail.

Education Requirements:

  •  Bachelor’s degree

Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for managing a project plan and multiple work-stream status documents, outlining programs and deliverables and estimated completion dates of milestones.
  • Responsible for project risk identification and mitigation and communications plan.
  • Coordination of status updates from multiple internal and external partners on a weekly basis.  Requires proactive conversations with all partners ensuring all risks and risk mitigation plan are documented and communicated clearly to client.
  • Responsible for presenting work-stream status document and other reporting to client on ongoing basis.
  • Ensure all documents and presentations for client adhere to Pursuit Consulting’s standards, processes, policies and procedures. 
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned, including documentation and meeting management.
