Location: Irvine, CA Responsibilities Include: The Sr. Program Manager is responsible for ensuring project tracking and project controls of a 2011 Marketing program launch for a leading Brand within a major pharmaceutical firm based in Irvine, CA. Essential Duties: - Develop and Manage to Project Charter, RACI, Project Plan, Risk Identification and Mitigation and Communications Plan.
- Strong attention to detail and experience in delivering and presenting reports to senior management.
- Coordination of status updates from multiple internal and external partners on a weekly basis
- Assure multiple team members, both internal team and external Agencies, follow project methodology.
- Assure that all documentation satisfies the organization’s business rules, measurement plan and project requirements.
- Responsible for reporting project progress in a regular, consistent format to Project Core Team.
- Ensure adherence to sponsor’s standards, processes, policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned, including documentation.
This is a contractor position with an estimated duration of at least 6 months, with potential for full-time hire after 3 months. On-site presence required at client’s location in Irvine, CA. Professional Skills: - Skill/Ability to: Effectively interact with diverse teams consisting of technical and non-technical members in a matrix organization. Demonstrate flexibility, resourcefulness and scrupulous attention to detail.
- Must be extremely detail oriented.
- Solid written and oral communication skills required.
- 7-10 years experience in Project Management and/or Program Management or related discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- PMI or other project management certification required.
Technical Skills: - Knowledge of: scheduling tools, MSProject, Visio, PowerPoint and other project management tools a must.
